Questions practices ask.

Straight answers, including the ones about what we can't do yet.

Scope

What would you take on first?

For most practices: authorization renewals and benefits re-verification for recurring treatments, such as biologics, infusions or injection series, for an agreed set of payers. That work is frequent, rule-driven and easy to measure, and a lapse has a direct cost. New authorizations for procedures can follow. If discovery points to a better starting place, such as referral intake, we'll say so.

Is this software, a service, or both?

Both. You're buying completed work with clear accountability, not a tool your team has to run. We use automation for the repetitive steps, and we're responsible for reviewing, following up and resolving exceptions. In early engagements our founding team does that work directly. You'll see which steps are automated and which are done by people.

What happens when a case needs human judgment?

It goes to the person you've named for that kind of decision, with the payer's question, the relevant documentation and the deadline. Clinical judgment, medical necessity and treatment choices are always your clinicians' call, and nothing clinical is submitted without their sign-off. Once they've decided, we handle the follow-through.

Can you guarantee approvals?

No one can. Payers make the decisions. What we can promise is that requests go out complete, on time and followed up, and that denials reach your clinicians with the reason and deadline.

Your systems and vendors

Does it replace our EHR or practice management system?

No. They remain your system of record. We work alongside them and aim to add as few new logins for your staff as possible.

Can we keep our billing company?

Yes. Most practices would keep their billing arrangement. We pass clean authorization details to your billing team and help trace authorization-related denials. Taking on billing work would only come later, if you want it and the first workflow has proven itself.

How will you know whether our systems can connect?

In discovery we ask which EHR, practice management system, clearinghouse and payer portals you use, and how your team works in them today. Then we tell you what's feasible, what isn't, and what would need your IT team or software vendor, before you commit to anything.

Pricing, security and risk

How does pricing work?

You pay for completed work, not seats or software licenses. The price depends on volume, payer mix and complexity, and is set out in writing before work begins, including the terms for stopping. See typical scenarios.

What about HIPAA and security?

We sign a business associate agreement before touching any patient information, and work within your security requirements. We don't hold certifications such as SOC 2 today. If your review needs something we don't have, we'll tell you directly. More on systems and security.

Are you already working with practices?

Not yet. We're setting up our first engagements, so we have no customer results to show, and we won't invent any. What we can offer now is a careful scoping conversation, a defined first workflow, and measurement you agree to before we start.

What if it doesn't work?

Your team keeps working cases as usual until our workflow is validated against the criteria you agreed to. If you decide to stop, every open case comes back to you with its full history.

What happens on the workflow review?

About 45 minutes with someone who knows how specialty practices run. We pick the workflow that causes the most repetitive work, map the people, tools and vendors involved, find where cases stall, and assess honestly whether a narrow first engagement makes sense. No preparation needed, and we won't ask for patient information.
